Verizon Wireless And Nokia Planning Secret 4G Device?

Nokia has always been trying to become a big player in the American mobile phone market, teaming up with the largest network might just give them the nudge they really seek.

Rumors has been popping of late about Nokia teaming up with Verizon on a possible secret 4G device, if true, the device will feature on Verizon's upcoming LTE (Long Term Evolution) 4G network, it is also expected to be an all touchy feely device which would compete directly with the iPhone and other competing devices. Nothing else is known about this rumor, but I for one hopes this is not just a rumor but something with merit, we need more iPhone competitors on the double.

Verizon hopes to roll out LTE nationwide in the United States starting in 2010, so far testing has shown LTE providing 60Mbps down speed on average and about half that on up speed.
