There is the King James Version for the Pocket PC, which remains very popular due to its classic language. This digital KJV also includes the Deuterocanonicals or the Apochrypha.
If you want a modern rendering of the Bible, you should try the New King James Version(NKJV). It presents "the beauty and accuracy of the 1611 King James Version in contemporary, readable style".
The New Living Translation (NLT) is also a popular choice. It is "easy to read and understand, while also accurately communicating the meaning and content of the original biblical texts. The NLT is a general-purpose text especially good for study, devotional reading and to be read aloud in public worship."
For personal use, there is a really nice translation called The Message by Eugene Peterson. It is a modern paraphrase of the Bible, "crafted to present its tone, rhythm, events, and ideas in everyday English".
The most popular English translation, the New International Version, is also available. This pocket digital Bible comes complete with functions that will help you study and learn from the Good Book.
Catholics can also get themselves a copy of the New American Bible, the version approved by Catholic bishops and whose text is used in English language Masses. Like the NIV, the NAB comes with several powerful features.
