Video: Google Android Ported To Dell Axim PDA

Android being open source has been working well for Google so far, quite a few devices has seen a port of the OS cross their path, now another has arrived.

The newest device to be blessed with the ability to run Android is the old but powerful Dell Axim PDA, this PDA is over five years old yet many Smartphones released after still pales in comparison to the Dell Axim 624MHz CPU. The Axim which ran Windows Mobile 5 at the time, had little problem handling Google OS, the only thing that doesn't work is Wi-Fi and the power management features, without Wi-Fi the Dell Axim is all but useless, since Wi-Fi is the only means of connecting to the Internet.

As you will see in the video below, Android runs rather well, a few hiccups here and there but otherwise from those and the missing Wi-Fi and power management features, Android on the ever aging Dell Axim is quite solid.
